Two suspects linked to a notorious gang have been killed in a shootout in Inanda, north of Durban.

KwaZulu-Natal police say residents tipped detectives off about their whereabouts.
Early Tuesday morning, officers cornered the suspects at a property in Nhlungwane Area 1.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda, says the occupants of the house started shooting at the police. The officers returned fire, killing two suspects.
"The suspects were found in possession of two firearms. One other suspect, who did not fight with the police, was arrested.
