Fuel price set to increase at midnight
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
It’s confirmed. The price of fuel is going up at
midnight.

The Energy Department’s Natie Shabangu says petrol will cost 65 cents more per litre, diesel will go up by between 54 and 56 cents a litre and illuminating paraffin by 47 cents.
South Africa’s fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis, due to national and international factors,” Shabangu said.
“The main reason for the fuel price adjustments is the rand appreciated on average against the US Dollar during the period under review. That led to lower contributions to the basic fuel price of petrol and diesel by around 14 cents a litre,” he added.
