A breath of musical fresh air

A breath of musical fresh air

Every now and then a song is beaten in quality by the visuals in the music video. This is one such time.

The original music video by Hozier is a phenomenal piece of work - don't get me wrong.   It is dark and eerie and filled to the brim with the painful and enduring message that Hozier originally wanted to get across, I am sure.

But then along came Sergei Polunin of the British Royal Ballet who took a song and made it into a feeling.

Combined with the direction of the overly creative genius that is David LaChapelle and choreographed by the sincerely unique and powerful mind of Jade Hale-Christofi - it is designed to blow your mind in ways that I think we don't have enough senses to truly feel.

Combine the almost impossible physical prowess of Sergei to the pot and you have a recipe for not only success, but a benchmark for what I believe is an art form in itself - the music video below.

Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

I call videos like this "Top Gunners." Why? The movie Top Gun was a great marketing attempt to get more people to join the US air force. This video makes me want to join the nearest ballet class. At least for a month. I don't have the discipline to do even one of the incredible moves as seen in this near perfect performance. I say near perfect because people like Sergei don't ever see their work as perfect. That's just the way they are.

That's all for now.

Till next time Stay crazy. The best people are! @jasonmccall01

Here is the original video for the hit song.
